BIDP and Riot Instant Messaging

We are developing some additional contacts for executive secretary and shop. To connect, you will need internet and Riot.

Riot does messaging, voice/video calls and conference calls. It is free and open source software. It works simultanously on phone and desktop/laptop, allowing big screen and keyboard. You can set up your own addresses or rooms using Riot to connect with your family or work people, and access the many interest group pages that exist.

BIDP shop door re-opens

The BIDP shop at plot 915 has re-opened its door post-lockdown, and subject to covid19 access rules. Open Monday to Friday 7h45-13h00 and 14h00 to 16h45, except public holidays.

Building fire safety seminar, Gaborone: will not be held on 24mr20

Our next event is the proposed Building fire safety seminar as noted above, running from 8am to 5pm. BIDP will advise whether this will be cancelled or postponed, and will liaise with persons who booked their attendance.

Speakers were to be Paul Munnik, talking about the I-towers in Gaborone, Mr Ramotswetla from Gaborone city council fire department and David Young looking at the design process for fire safety.

Breda UIA/Unesco seminar 1994: a seminar on recycling and changing the use of buildings. The seminar was held in Breda but covered also covered a number of projects in Amsterdam.
